Terms & Conditions

By requesting, booking, or participating in any service with Ruff Pup Dog Training (“Ruff Pup,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Client,” “Owner”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

‍1. SERVICES PROVIDED Ruff Pup offers services including but not limited to:

• Dog Training (Day Camp, Board & Train, Private Lessons, Group Classes)
• Dog Daycare
• Dog Day School
• Dog Grooming Services
• Pet Care & Enrichment Services

All services are provided at our facility, partner locations, public environments, or in-home where applicable.

‍2. DOG HEALTH & VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

‍By booking services, you certify that your dog:

• Is up to date on all required vaccinations (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella)
• Is free from contagious illness, parasites, or infections
• Is physically and behaviorally fit to participate in services

Ruff Pup reserves the right to refuse or remove any dog showing signs of illness, aggression, or unsafe behavior.

‍3. BEHAVIOR & SAFETY DISCLOSURE

‍Client agrees to fully disclose:

• Any history of aggression (towards dogs or humans)
• Anxiety, fear, or reactivity concerns
• Bite history or threatening behavior

Failure to disclose behavioral concerns may result in:

• Immediate removal from services
• Additional training requirements
• No refunds issued

4. TRAINING RESULTS DISCLAIMER

‍Client understands and agrees:Dog training is not a guarantee of behaviorDogs are living animals capable of independent decisions

• Results depend on owner consistency, follow-through, and utilization of follow up training

Ruff Pup provides education, structure, and support, but cannot guarantee specific outcomes.

‍5. OWNER RESPONSIBILITY

‍Client agrees to:

• Follow all training instructions and recommendations
• Maintain structure, routines, and consistency at home
• Attend scheduled follow-ups if included in program

Failure to follow through may negatively impact results.

‍6. USE OF TRAINING TOOLS

‍Client acknowledges that Ruff Pup may use training tools including but not limited to:

• Slip leads
• Head collars
• Prong collars
• E-collars (remote collars)
• Long lines and training leashes
• Bark collars
• Pet corrector
• Spray bottles
• Food and treats
• Toys
• Love, praise and affection

All tools are used under LIMA principles (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) and selected based on the individual dog.

‍7. DAYCARE / DAY SCHOOL PARTICIPATION

‍Client understands:

• Dogs may interact with other dogs and environments
• Minor scratches, nicks, or incidental injuries may occur
• Ruff Pup monitors behavior but cannot eliminate all risk

Participation is at the owner’s discretion.

‍8. GROOMING SERVICES DISCLAIMER

‍Client acknowledges:

• Grooming may expose pre-existing conditions (skin issues, matting, irritations)
• Severely matted dogs may require shaving, which can increase risk of irritation (Humanity before Vanity)
• Ruff Pup is not liable for conditions resulting from pre-existing coat or health issues

‍

9. VETERINARY CARE AUTHORIZATION

‍In the event of illness or injury:

• Ruff Pup is authorized to seek veterinary care if the owner cannot be reached
• Client agrees to pay all veterinary costs incurred
• Ruff Pup will make reasonable efforts to contact owner first

10. PAYMENT TERMS

• Payment is due prior to or at the start of services unless otherwise agreed
• Deposits may be required to reserve a spot
• Failure to pay may result in cancellation or refusal of service

11. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

• Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• Cancellations require 24 hours notice
• No-shows or late cancellations may result in forfeited sessions, and no-show fees

Training Programs:

• Once a program has started, no refunds will be issued for completed services
• Remaining value may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis

12. BOARD & TRAIN / DAY CAMP POLICY

‍Client understands:

• Payment covers time, care, and training during the program
• Follow-up sessions and group classes may be included at no additional cost
• Failure to schedule or attend follow-ups does not entitle client to a refund

13. PHOTO & VIDEO RELEASE

‍Client grants Ruff Pup permission to:

• Use photos/videos of them and/or their dog for marketing, social media, and training purposes

No personal client information will be shared.

‍14. LIABILITY WAIVER

‍Client agrees:

Participation in all services is at their own riskRuff Pup, its owners, employees, and partners are not liable for:

• Injury, illness, or death of any dog

• Damage caused by the dog to people, property, or other animals

Client assumes full risk and responsibility for their dog’s behavior.

‍15. INDEMNIFICATION

‍Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ruff Pup from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from:

• Dog behavior
• Failure to disclose behavioral history
• Failure to follow training guidance

‍

16. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

‍Ruff Pup reserves the right to:

• Refuse service at any time

• Remove any dog that poses a safety risk

• Require additional training prior to participation

‍

‍17. LIFETIME SUPPORT POLICY

‍Many Ruff Pup programs include lifetime follow-up training and/or group classes.

Client understands:

• These services are offered as ongoing support
• They do not constitute refundable value
• Failure to utilize included support does not qualify for a refund

18. AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

‍By booking services, the Client acknowledges:

• They have read and understand these Terms & Conditions
• They agree to all policies outlined above
• This agreement is legally binding
